And sure enough, school's back in action.
What a terrible summer. I'll give you a short recap, I suppose. I got out for summer. I stayed home, got nagged at by my parents because I'm "messy" and I don't dress "appropriately" or like a "collegiate." The sad thing is that when they tell me this, they don't even say it figuratively either, they're dead on serious when they use those words. But like I said, I got out for the summer, and it started out allright. I went to a few shows here and there. I saw the Futureheads which was amaaaazing. They're a wonderful experience, and I'd definitely reccomend anyone and everyone to stop what you're doing and go see them live. Another great show I saw this summer was Of Montreal. I had tons and tons of fun at that show. Kevin Barnes is such a good performer, as is the rest of Of Montreal, so again, another reccomendation. Now that's about it as far as good things go. Starting with the bad. I got a job. Now is this really so bad, as one may ponder. Therein lies your double edged sword. I got a job working as a host and cashier at Nagoya Japanese restaurant. It's a good restaurant, and I get paid $7.00 an hour, so that's not so bad. But after about two weeks of working there, my car was stolen. Someone had gotten hold of my keys while I was at work, and they stole and totaled my car. Which isn't really so good at all. So even though I ended up making $3,000 for the summer, I'm going to lose about $2,000 of it, having to pay off the car. Not to mention other various expenses that have incurred over the summer. My job also took away alot of my freetime. I was actually working three jobs. One for mom and dad doing paperwork/payroll, one at Paint it my way, and of course, Nagoya. So all in all, I was working six or seven days a week. It was insane. But now it's over, and I'm moving back to school. I'll be moving into an apartment with Jonathan. This is quite the excitement. Come and visit us, if you're in town.
School's out. (I wish.)
Summer is slowly creeping up on me. Just a week of classes, and then exams. And then I'll have time to fully work on this website, like I'd like to. Recently, I've been listening to alot of Stereolab. I recently purchased a box-set they released with three discs, and a bonus DVD. It's alot of older stuff, but I enjoy it. The video footage is allright. In other news, my brother and I have changed our band name to La Réponse. You can listen to our terrible terrible music on our purevolume site, but be warned, it's really bad. And the first song, we just made up on the spot. Maybe I'll be better about writing lyrics and the like.
Neou things going on?
I've recently been inspired to start a new scheme for my website possibly. I should hopefully be able to work on all sorts of aspects possibly maybe. Who knows. Tomorrow, one of my great friends, Ryuhei Nakaya is going back to Osaka, Japan for a long time. At least I will have email, so I can stay in touch with him. While at his party, I may have injured myself in an attempt to dance. Who knows what tomorrow will entail. There is also a japanese quiz. Congratulations.

3:00 a.m. Laundry
There's something satisfying about doing laundry at 3:00 in the morning. Actually, I had attempted to do my laundry earlier, though my plan was thwarted by a plethora of sorority sisters, who had somehow taken over the laundry room. Feeling defenseless to their numbers, (or rather, just the fact that all the dryers were full, and set to 40+ minutes,) I decided to just give up. My final decision then, was to return to the laundry center, after having returned from seeing Interpol, in New Orleans. This time, nobody was there, and I brought my stereo with me. You really should have driven by to see me folding clothes and dancing to Franz Ferdinand. Only at three in the morning, and only in Bolton Hall Laundry Center. Thank you, Franz Ferdinand.
Interpol
Interpol was simply amazing. More details will come later. When I'm a bit more coherent, and not so sleepy.
Haha 101
Well, I've got a 101 fever. I've also got Bronchitis, and I have to take a bunch of medication. (Zithromax, Bidex, and Guaifenesin/Phenylephrine?) On top of which, I have to drink plenty of fluids and take tylenol. What fun this will be. In other news, I'm going to see Interpol tomorrow. I'm quite excited about this venture. Tentatively speaking, I'm also going to go to South by Southwest. I'll be going with Blayne, and I think it'll be totally fun. Hopefully, if everything goes as planned, I will get to see Dolour, Big City Rock, and many many more. Speaking of music, I have an urge to play music with my brother. We're considering purchasing a mac, for recording purposes. Though the advent of this is probably unlikely, given the fact that we are poor-as-all-get-out. I'm also possibly going to change up my site layout again. I'm just not too terribly pleased with this layout. Oh. Not to talk about music again, but the rumors were right, Daft Punk's new album was a bit displeasing. Or not even displeasing, but it just didn't live up to Discovery, or homework, even. I think that they're going for a more abstract kind of sound. There are a few good tracks like "Robot Rock" and "Emotion", but really I think this album just wasn't as catchy as Discovery. And finally one last note, Tahiti 80 released their new album entitled "Fosbury"! .... in Japan. Fosbury won't be released in the United States until September. Which is an unfortunately long time to wait. I will eventually purchase the Japanese album, albeit the fact that it will cost $40 (not including shipping.) If you go to their Japanese Site, you can listen to clips from the new album, which I've found to be quite excellent, even though some sound different. I'm really excited about this, but seeing as to how money is short, I don't quite think that I'm going to purchase it immediately. We'll just have to see. Well, that's it for now, I suppose.
And then...?
And then...? Well, what? Yeah, that's what I thought. No sir, I most certainly, did not.
Just for laughs.
Honestly, who reads this?
Who knows what's next.
So it's slightly late, 1:44 AM at the beginning of this post. I should like to note that in two days, I will drive to St. Louis to see Motion City Soundtrack. This will be quite the excitement, if I might say so myself. Earlier this week, I met Alton Brown. That was also quite interesting. The page isn't complete yet, but it's on its way. Many pictures will be posted. Enjoy, darlings.
